It's hard to keep up with life. Especially when life is insane and fast-paced and wants you to die because of how busy you are. But let's cover the basics.
I GOT MY BRACES OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The 27th of July in the year 2015. To be forever marked in the annals of my personal history as a stinking glorious day. I was legitimately counting down; I thought about making a paper ring counter-downer but never got around to it. Regardless, any company I had heard it every day: "Seventy-two days left." "Twenty-four days left." "I'm getting my braces off in a week and five hours." [not kidding. there were hours in the countdown.]
Just two of like a billion selfies from that first day (I actually took five.) And the beautiful shirt you see me wearing? I am now employed at Steak 'n Shake. We intend to lead and dominate the premium burger and milkshake segment of the restaurant industry. Our other goals include hiring less-than-competent managers and breaking lots of labor laws.I got my braces off in between shifts during the first week, actually. But last week, I didn't work at all, praise be. Because I had...
- tennis tryouts on Monday and Tuesday
- also I bought no-pants pants with Sofie, Audrey, and Bekah. They are PURPLE with FLOWERS and I LOVE them.
- a priest/laurel boating trip on Wednesday
- our first tennis match on Thursday, from which Sarah, Brooke, and I drove up late to
- the CCYC retreat in Park City.
like 1:30 am at walmart. I popped out a ceiling tile by accident.
Awesome date to the rope swing and then back for s'mores and Guardians of the Galaxy with Will, Sarah and Tanner, and Megan and Jack!
Dinner at Habit Burger in Station Park, rode Frontrunner to Trax and Trax to the Bees' game, and then did the inverse, except we bought a carton of ice cream and fruit snacks at Dick's instead of... second dinner(? I don't know.) Best date!!
